How we collect your personal data

When you applied to become a member online, you provided your contact information.

You may have filled out a paper application form obtained from our website or an event. If you used this method, an authorised data processor manually input your information and shared it with TOP Networking. The paper application form will be securely stored and destroyed when you leave the TOP Networking club.

Updating your personal data

You can add, amend, or delete your personal data at any time during your membership by clicking on this link: https://members.topnetworking.co.uk

Login to add/amend/delete my personal data. We recommend that you do not remain logged in if your device is shared with others.

Data we may hold about you as a member.

We only store data that you have provided, which may include: 

  • Your first name
  • Your surname
  • Your photograph
  • Your business or company nameYour company logo
  • Your phone numberYour mobile phone number
  • Your email address (no longer displayed on the website to prevent email address harvesting)
  • Your business postal address (we recommend not adding this if you work from home)
  • Your business description
  • Links to your social media accounts (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Skype, WhatsApp)
  • Your qualifications

Additional data we may hold about you, such as:

  • Recommendations you have received or given to other members.
  • Referrals you have been given or received.
  • Your attendance statistics
  • Invoices and meeting receipts we have sent you.
  • People you have invited to visit a TOP Networking club.
  • Members who you have sponsored
  • Your one-to-one meetings with other members
  • Why we may need to contact you

We may contact you for the following reasons:

  • When you are added as a member to the club you joined
  • To inform you of upcoming meetings
  • Automated meeting reminders
  • Meeting cancellations
  • Membership renewal and invoice
  • To notify you about referrals or recommendations that require your approval.
  • To inform you that someone you have recommended has approved your ecommendation.
  • To inform you that someone you have invited to visit your TOP Networking club has accepted your invitation.
  • To inform you about one-to-one meeting requests and confirmations
  • To remind you of upcoming one-to-one meetings
  • To send you a receipt after each meeting you have attended.
  • When a new member joins your club
  • When you renew your membership
  • When another member of your club renews their membership
  • To inform you about the termination of your membership based on our Terms & Conditions
  • To send you a monthly report of your club activity, including missed meetings, unmet visitors, referrals, recommendations, and other relevant information
  • To inform you about new optional member benefits

Additional contact for club Leadership team members

If you are part of the club Leadership team, we may also contact you for the following reasons:

  • To inform you about received enquiries or bookings for your club/s
  • To provide you with the booking history of individuals who have attended your meetings
  • To notify you when a member has been added, modified, or removed from your club/s
  • To inform you about the sending of meeting reminders and manual updates to meeting attendance
  • To update you about changes to membership expiry dates

Why we need your business contact data

By joining TOP Networking, you aim to promote your business to other members and gain referrals. To support this, we will:

  • Display the information you have provided on our website, mobile app, and printed meeting sheet accessible to members and visitors.

Allow members to add their business cards to a members-only card box at each TOP Networking club meeting. By adding your card, you give permission to anyone with access to the card box to take your card and add your details to their system or pass them on to relevant contacts. If you disagree with this, please do not add your business cards to the members-only card box.
