I moved to Devon in 1995 to attend the University of Exeter and have never looked back. After my studies, I was taken on at a firm of Chartered Accountants in Exeter to work and study for my ACA exams. I continued in practice till 2002 and then moved to an Investment Group until 2004. After that I worked in the private industry until I set up Beechtree Bookkeeping in 2015. It was the best move I ever made.
I’ve discovered that what I really want to do is help businesses day-to-day, in any way I can, so that sometimes, I am not just doing bookkeeping but helping them plan for the future.
My wife and I have two dogs, so they take up a lot of our time, especially as they love Dartmoor as much as we do. Having said that I am more than happy to while away a whole day just reading and listening to music. This, however, leads to questions over whether the loft can take the weight of all my books.
I am a big rugby fan, but am currently suffering from intense pain due to supporting Wales and Exeter Chiefs.
If you want to talk books, music, dogs and rugby please get in touch; oh, and bookkeeping.
